Description
Miller ArcReach Preheat Insulation
Thermal insulation for induction heating applications.
Preheat Insulation is designed to be placed between the induction heating tool and the workpiece. It protects the heating cables or Quick Wraps from the high temperatures of the heated metal and ensures efficient thermal distribution. Available in various lengths and thicknesses, this insulation is a critical component for maintaining target temperatures during preheating and hydrogen bake-out processes.
Features
- Thermal Protection: Shields induction heating tools from direct contact with heated surfaces to prevent equipment damage.
- Improved Efficiency: Traps heat at the workpiece, reducing thermal loss and accelerating time-to-temperature.
- High-Temperature Resistance: Engineered to withstand the rigors of industrial heating cycles up to 600°F (315°C) when used with air-cooled systems.
- Flexible Application: Can be easily cut or wrapped to fit pipes, plates, and irregular joint geometries.
- Safety: Reduces the exterior surface temperature of the setup, enhancing the safety of the work environment.
