(1) Replaces the oem lower chain guide.
(2) Prevents timing chain slippage off the crank pulley chain gear when performing a cam swap.

The timing chain guide ensures that your K
series motor will never jump timing from the crank timing gear in the
event of a timing chain tensioner failure.
