The Interpurge Diffuser is the secret to high-purity pipe welding. When purging stainless steel, titanium, or nickel alloys, any turbulence in the gas flow can pull oxygen back into the weld zone, leading to “sugar” (oxidation) and weld failure.
These diffusers are constructed from a high-quality sintered stainless steel media that breaks up the concentrated stream of gas, transforming it into a gentle, uniform, and laminar “cloud.” This allows the argon to displace oxygen more efficiently, reducing purge times and gas consumption while ensuring a mirror-like root pass.

Usage Considerations
When using a diffuser, always ensure your exit vent (purge hole) is located at the highest point of the weld joint, as Argon is heavier than air. This allows the diffuser to “fill the pipe like a glass of water,” pushing the oxygen out the top for a 100% inert environment in record time.
